Accessibility

This guide has been written in accordance with Attitude is Everything guidelines. Staged Events (NW) Ltd are working towards the Access Starts Online stamp of approval for all of our events.

If you need a carer or PA you should start by purchasing a Irlam Live ticket. Then download and complete the Access requirements application form featured on section 5 of this page and return your completed form to access@irlamlive.co.uk along with your supporting paperwork.

If you are an independent wheelchair user and need access to the ACCESS VIEWING AREA. Simply email your name and your requirements to access@irlamlive.co.uk Your name will be added to a list and you can collect an ACCESS PASS when you arrive at the event.

PLEASE NOTE. The festival site is predominantly grass with hard-standing pathways to the access point. There are no hard-standing pathways inside the festival site.

If you need a carer or personal assistant, you can apply for a free carers pass.

To apply for a free carer/PA ticket, first of all purchase your Irlam Live ticket. Then download, complete and return the application form to access@irlamlive.co.uk along with copies of your supporting paperwork. Your application will be process by the ACCESS team you will be notified by email within a few days. Once your supporting paperwork has been seen by the ACCESS team it is deleted.

Collect your CARER/PA wristband and ACCESS PASS on arrival from the Event Office next to the main entrance. You will be wristbanded and directed to the dedicated entrance to the viewing area.

PLEASE NOTE. NO APPLICATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED AFTER THE 15 MAY. (2 weeks before Irlam Live) After 15 May carer/PAs will need to purchase a like for like ticket.

Travel Guide. The official car park is 0.5km / 0.3 miles away from the festival entrance. The whole journey is on hard-standing pathways with some crossing of roads using pelican crossings. There is a drop-off only point for our ACCESS guests at the Irlam Leisure Centre car park which is approximately 250m from the entrance. BLUE BADGE HOLDERS spaces are available close to the gate in the main car park. Car park tickets can be purchased from the Irlam Live website.

Toilets. There are accessible toilets within the viewing area.

Medical Services. A paramedic led medical team is on-site for the duration of the event and our security and customer service staff will be able to contact these at any point should you require medical attention.

If you have any specific medical requirements please complete and indicate this on your application form.

Access to Performance. At present there will be no BSL/captioning/audio description or otherwise provided by Staged Events (NW) Ltd during this event.

Assistance Dogs. If you require an assistance dog be with you on site please indicate so on your application form. We require that any assistance dogs be registered with a member organisation of Assistance Dogs UK.

Strobe Lighting. There will be strobe lighting and flashing light effects during most performances.
