About the Festival
Here’s the line-up for Irlam Live 2020. Three great days, one awesome event. We kick off at noon on Friday 29th May 2020 with the brand new ‘YO-FEST’ a festival for our younger festival goers, and its half-term that week so no school! YO-FEST is for mums, dads and the kids to enjoy together, five hours of festival fun that all will love and I’m sure the kids will all want to come back again next year. 5pm we start our MADCHESTER TRIBUTES NIGHT and we’ve got three of the best NOASIS | THE SMITHS LIMITED | THE COURTBETWEENERS. A Friday ticket is good for all day.
SATURDAY/SUNDAY Once again an awesome mix of bands and singers that I’m sure you will love and remember for years to come. BRAND NEW for Irlam Live 2020 we have a second stage showcasing ‘grass roots’ bands and singers playing between the main stage acts.
Looking back at Irlam Live 2019 here’s a great pic of our Saturday night headliner Marc Almond. Great show with all the hits, Say Hello Wave Goodbye, Bedsitter, What, Torch and of course the eighties anthem Tainted Love.
And WOW!!!! what an awesome way to close IRLAM LIVE 2019 with the legend Bruce Foxton From the Jam, playing all the hits. Town Called Malice, Going Underground, David Watts, That’s Entertainment, Modern World, Eton Riffles and many many more.
Also taking to the stage over the weekend were 5ive, The Farm, Toploader, The Christians, The Commitments, Nathan Moore (Brother Beyond), Lancashire Hotpots, Salford Jets. Also two un-announced performances from Sweet Female Attitude and the fab Phats And Small. What’s not to like? x
IRLAM LIVE is an annual music festival that takes place in a 5k capacity outdoor arena within Prince’s Park, nine miles west of Manchester city centre. Great atmosphere, great music, great food and drink and of course great people.

Looking back at our past three festivals.
Irlam Live 2018 The legendary Stranglers headlined Friday with very special guest Toyah, who rocked the Irlam Live stage last year, and the fantastic Mohawk Radio.
The Saturday line-up was The 80’s vs 90’s. Go West, The South, Republic, Five Star, Jaki Graham and Katrina (ex Katrina and the Wave). Plus Twisted Soul, Kev Gurney’s Club Tropicana, Mr Wilson’s Second Liners and Amanda Heywood.
Irlam Live 2017 took place on the weekend of the 2–4 June 2017 – Almost 8,000 people visited Irlam Live 2017. The three headliners were The Wailers, Alexander O’Neal and Jason Donovan.Toyah put it an epic 60 minute set that was a real crowd pleaser. Also live sets from Dodgy, Imagination, Odyssey, Dave Finnigan’s Commitments, Ben VP from Curiosity Killed The Cat, K Klass, Owen Paul, Irlam’s very own Jess Kemp, also Men In Coats, The New York Brass Band, Amanda Heywood, Twisted Soul and Tony Lewis as Robbie Williams kept the crowds entertained.
Irlam Live 2016 took place over the weekend of 3-5 June 2016 featured Billy Ocean, Tony Hadley, T’Pau, Bay City Rollers, Aswad, Real Thing, Blow Monkeys to name a few.
Here’s a great picture of the crowd getting ready for Billy Ocean. Irlam Live 2016 was a huge success in so many areas with over 8,000 people through the gates. This was the first time the Amphitheatre at Prince’s Park had been used for its intended purpose. The stage looked magnificent, the sound system was awesome, everyone had a great view of what was going on with room to move around the site.
GOLD! A great picture of Tony Hadley rocking the Irlam Live stage in 2016 with a greatest hits set. True, Only When You Leave, Lifeline, Gold, To Cut A Long Story Short, as well as a few crowd-pleasing covers like Dakota and Mr Brightside. AWESOME!!
