Public Transport Links
Irlam benefits from great transport links to Manchester, Warrington, Liverpool and plenty of other locations in the North-West. If you want to make the most of the festival, including our real ale, gin, cocktails and prosecco bars as well as a whole host of events in venues close to the event site, we recommend taking advantages of these public transport links.

Travelling By Train

Travelling by train is the preferred option if you are travelling from Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington, Urmston  or anywhere in between. Irlam train station is located just 10 minutes walk from Irlam Live and also hosts the great 1923 cafe bar and local history museum where you can soak up some culture before visiting us! There will also be a number of after-party and other events close to Irlam station which are not-to-be-missed. There are regular stopping services to Manchester and Liverpool on all event days. Please check for up-to-date timetables. PLEASE CHECK THERE MAY BE WALK-OUTS BY TRAIN DRIVERS PLANED FOR 3 JUNE 2023

Travelling by Bus

Two regular bus services run past the festival site, 67 and 100. With Broadway being the nearest bus stop to the Irlam Live Festival. Pease check timetables.

67 – Manchester — Pendleton — Eccles — Peel Green — Irlam — Cadishead
100 – Manchester — Eccles — intu Trafford Centre — Irlam — Hollins Green — Warrington

Travelling by TAXI / UBER – Drop of at Irlam Leisure Centre, M44 6BR.

Travelling by Car

Although we strongly recommend using public transport to take in the full Irlam Live experience, we have arranged for a limited number of parking spaces on a dedicated event car park, just a 4 minute walk from the entrance. Please Note there is NO street parking on all roads close to the festival site. A residents only parking scheme will be in place for the duration of the festival.

Car Park

The main car park is at Irlam Primary School, Elsinore Avenue, Irlam, M44 6NA. Parking is by pre-paid ticket only available from the TICKETS page. All money raised from the car park go to the school. The entrance to Elsinor Avenue is via Liverpool Road, (B5320) close to the junction with Broadway and stewards will be on hand to offer assistance if required.

Blue Badge Holder
The main car park on Elsinore Avenue is 0.5km / 0.3 miles away from the festival entrance. The whole journey is on hard-standing pathways with some crossing of roads using pelican crossings. There is a drop-off only point for our disabled guests at the Irlam Leisure Centre car park which is approximately 250m from the entrance. There are spaces close to the gate for BLUE BADGE HOLDERS with pre-paid car park tickets.

Where to stay

There is NO CAMPING at Irlam Live or any campsites close to the festival site. However there are plenty of good hotels on the bus route or a short taxi ride away.  Please click here for a list of nearby hotels.
